Thailand is one of the most popular destinations for Egyptians, whether for holidays, honeymoons, or medical treatment. Your e-Visa application needs documents that prove your job, income, and ties to Egypt, and the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo asks for every document to be in English or translated into English.
Galenus For Certified Translation & Businessmen Services has provided certified translation in Egypt since 2014. We translate Thailand visa documents into English with our office stamp, and we spell every name exactly as in your passport, because a spelling mismatch can cost you the application.
How Egyptians apply for a Thailand visa
According to the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo, Egyptian applicants have applied through the official Thai e-Visa platform (thaievisa.go.th) since 8 October 2024. You no longer hand in your passport or original documents at the embassy. Instead, you upload your documents online and receive the visa electronically once approved.
The embassy says processing can take up to 10 working days, and you should not apply more than three months before your departure date. The embassy is located in Dokki, close to our office.
Documents commonly translated for Thailand
Under the embassy’s tourist visa guidelines, these documents need an English translation, depending on your situation:
- HR letter from your employer and social insurance record
- Work certificate on company letterhead with the official stamp, translated into English only
- Commercial registration and tax card for business owners (original, copy, and English translation)
- School or university certificate for students
- Pension certificate for retirees
- Parents’ travel authorization for minors, translated into English only
- Birth and marriage certificates in English when you rely on a parent’s or spouse’s bank statement
Business owners can also read our guide to the tax card and taxpayer certificate, and students our certified translation of certificates page.
Language and legalization rules
English only
The embassy guidelines state that all required documents must be in English or translated into English, and some items are marked for English translation only. That is why we translate your whole Thailand file into English. See our certified translation from Arabic to English page for details.
Bank statements
The embassy asks for an original stamped bank statement covering the last three months, plus an English version. The simplest route is to request the English version from your bank. If your bank cannot issue one, check your application instructions before relying on a translation.
Egyptian MFA legalization
The published tourist visa guidelines we reviewed do not list MFA legalization for translations. If your instructions or a Thai authority ask for it, we offer Egyptian MOFA certificate authentication as an extra service.
